How did you get into reading? As a child, “It’s Raining Mens” author Bebang Siy flipped through prayer books she couldn’t understand, devoured her elder cousin’s tabloids (particularly the sex advice column!), and went through her dad’s stash of thriller paperbacks. Listen as she talks about the books that made her the reader and writer she is today.
There was nobody we wanted as a guest for our first episode more than Bebang Siy. We met Bebang way back in 2013 when our book club discussed “It’s a Mens World.” Even back then, she was a passionate champion of local literature and works written in Filipino.
